Lausanne Collegiate School

School Hours, Building Use & Carpool

School Day
Lower School (PK–4th grade) students are in class from 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. The Middle and Upper School day runs from 8:30 a.m.– 3:30 p.m. Administrative offices are open from 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Zero Hour (Before School)
5th-grade through 12th-grade students have a special before-school opportunity: the zero hour. From 7:30 to 8:25 a.m. Monday through Friday, Middle and Upper School students have the chance for extended practices with band and chorus and weight training for sports as well as supervised study sessions, peer-to-peer tutorials and AP labs. Zero hour is an option for all Middle and Upper School students but not a requirement.

After School (AfterCare, Library and Activities)
Lausanne provides supervision of Middle School and Upper School students from 7:30 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. and Lower School students from 7:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m. AfterCare programming (at an additional cost) provides after school supervision and activities for students in PK-Grade 6. Students in Grades 7-12 who are still on campus after 3:45 p.m., but not involved in a Lausanne activity such as an athletic or art program, report to the library. The library is open until 5:00 p.m. on school days.

Carpool
Click here for a detailed map to locate your appropriate carpool location. Carpool hours for PK through 4th grade are 7:30–8:00 a.m. and 3:00–3:15 p.m. Carpool hours for grades 5–12 are 8:00–8:30 a.m. and 3:30–3:45 p.m. Lower School students with Middle/Upper School siblings will be at the youngest siblings’ carpool for pick-up. Important: Middle and Upper School students can be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. for zero hour (see paragraph above).

Parking for driving students
Student parking is available on campus (campus map). Students' cars must be registered through the Upper School office, csampuda@lausanneschool.com.

Please direct any questions on the above to the appropriate division:
