Seven Lausanne Lower School teachers, organized by our Lower School Learning Specialist Joy Stephens, will be traveling to Belize at the end of July to assist School Bells in providing professional development for teachers. You can help our teachers make a difference in the lives of these students and educators by voting for School Bells in the Better World Books LEAP Grant opportunity on facebook. Our teachers are vying for a grant through this non-profit group to purchase books for the children with whom they will be working in Belize. Establishing this resource center will also give students and educators throughout Belize a place to find educational tools and professional development opportunities which they are sorely lacking.
