Sabaa Sharma '13, winner of the Orpheum's outstanding lead actress award, boarded a plane to New York City yesterday morning as a candidate for the national Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress. She was met at the airport by a crew from PBS, which is doing a documentary on the national awards.
Sabaa will be filmed on 42nd street and then it's on to the events. For the next 5 days Sabaa will participate in acting, singing and dancing master classes and competitions. On Monday, June 25 she will perform on stage at the Jimmy Awards in NYC and the winners will be announced.
