Lausanne Students Tie for 1st Place
University of Memphis CRESH Program
Monica Jain ’14 and Leah Sherman ’14 participated in the CRESH science experience offered at the University of Memphis this summer. High school students were each paired with a professor mentor and assisted in experiments in the University's science labs. Monica and Leah worked closely with professors and graduate students and each wrote a research paper and created a poster of their work.
At the closing program on Friday, July 27, 2012 in the University Center, the CRESH participants presented their posters to unbiased professors from the Biology and Physics departments. The two students from Lausanne, Leah and Monica, tied for first place in the competition! Congratulations, girls!
