Welcome back from what I hope proved to be a relaxing Holiday Break. I hope everyone can brag that they ate way too much and received way too many hugs over the course of the last few weeks. It's hard to believe that we are halfway through the 2009-2010 school year. My family and I reluctantly leave 2009 with all of the wonderful gifts and surprises that it left us. However, I anxiously embrace 2010 for the many gifts that it will bring: Lots more surprises and way more fun.
Aftercare has been such a pleasure for me this year. All of our students have adjusted well and I have been thrilled at the excitement that the kids bring everyday.

What to Expect from Lausanne AfterCare:
Character Education
Qualities such as responsibility, respect and trustworthiness will be introduced to students during their acivities after school. In addition, students will have the opportunity to investigate how citizenship, fairness and respect are viewed and carried out globally.
The Big Deal
This is an opportunity for us to let our Middle School students share, investigate and experience the world. We have incorporated new ideas such as the Critics' Corner and Lausanne Sports Center.
On the Move
Look for an increased emphasis on physical activity in AfterCare this year. Activities include active play as long as weather cooperates! Activities are also age-appropriate.
