Applying for Financial Aid - 2012-2013 Academic Year

A Lausanne education is an investment in your student's future. We know that the financial commitment can keep well deserving students from this opportunity. Lausanne has a need based financial aid program for qualifying students. Through the Lausanne financial assistance program many families have come to our school that otherwise would not be able to do so. This is a confidential program and only the Financial Aid Committee will review your personal financial records or know of any award granted.

In order to apply for financial assistance, please follow the procedures listed below.

• Call admissions office at 901-474-1030 to request a financial aid packet after December 2012 or  download the financial aid packet here.
• Once you have your 2012 tax return, complete the FAST financial aid application. 
• Mail a copy of your 2012 W-2's and tax returns to FAST.  
• Please send to the Lausanne Financial Aid Committee once available:
  • Copies of your 2011 tax returns and W-2's  (Only required for first time financial aid applicants; we ask that you please make these copies yourself.)
  • The completed Financial Assistance Application, including the amount you feel you will be able to pay towards tuition.

All applicants must have been offered a contract for the 2012-2013 school year before the financial aid committee will evaluate each completed FA file. The student's signed contract must then be returned with the full deposit before any notification of a possible financial award will be distributed. 

Contract obligations and withdrawal procedures:

Families applying and qualifying for financial aid will receive a full refund of their deposit, and will not be held to their signed contract, upon request, if Lausanne cannot give the financial assistance qualified for through the FAST for the 2012-2013 school year.  We must then receive this request within two weeks of the mailing of the financial award for the deposit to be refunded. All contracts will be binding after this time.  If you do not qualify for financial assistance through FAST, or if we offer the amount you do qualify for, though it may not be the amount requested, then your contract is binding and you will be obligated to fulfill all financial obligations to the School.
