To me, Lausanne means Gibson's donuts during zero hour chem labs, taboo games for new Spanish vocabulary for dulces, after school conversations about life with the best teachers and growing as a student and a person to reach my goals.

International Week is an opportunity for us to celebrate our cultural differences that set Lausanne apart from other schools. I love to try the different homemade foods people bring and do trivia about cultures from around the world.

Lausanne has helped keep my love for learning alive and made so many opportunities available. The IB program has allowed me the space to study things I'm interested in and has shown me that there can be more than one answer to a question and more than one way to think about things.

My experience at Lausanne was excellent, and I consider it a big part of my journey. I was looking for a place that was more open to arts and a place that nurtured individuality. I'm grateful for my time at Lausanne, and I credit it for where I am today.

I love how the IB program has allowed me to take a broad spectrum of classes I would have never imagined taking before. Not only could I double up on sciences in physics and chemistry, but I also have taken Atelier for four years, Economics and getting to conduct a research paper in the extended essay.

The best thing about Lausanne is the ability to show it students how to be innovative, which drives creation and Lausanne develops these innovators from a young age. That’s how we change the world: not with conflict, or violence, but with innovators.

Lausanne means allowing students to be able to form close relationships with their peers and teachers, even if they are different from them. The diversity here on campus is what truly makes us, us, and you can’t find that anywhere else. We are such an integrated community and that’s what makes Lausanne so special to me.
