The Conservatory at Lausanne offers after-school performing arts classes to build creative, confident and expressive performers with a life-long appreciation for the arts. Both private and group classes are available. Many of Lausanne's theatrical presentations are part of Lausanne's after school enrichment programs. The Lower School Musical, The Nutcracker, Winter and Spring Musical Recital and the Dance Recital are offered through Conservatory classes.

The Conservatory at Lausanne is proud to continue Lausanne’s long-standing tradition of offering high-quality, private music instruction in the areas of piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, guitar and ukulele. Private lessons are available to JK – 12th grade Lausanne students, community guests and adults on campus before, during or after school hours. All lessons are taught by the highly qualified instructors of the Conservatory.
Comics & Cartoons (Spring) SK – 4th grade
What happens when you merge writing and art making? Want to write and illustrate your own story? We’ll study comic strips, posters and magazines for inspiration. You will be provided with creative writing prompts, visual references and a variety of media to explore themes of bookmaking and storytelling. You will make your own book, learn about page layout, text to image relationships and panel design. You will draw and paint from photograph references and use your imagination to respond to creative writing prompts.

The Sketchbook Project (Spring) Middle School
This class will explore creative story telling through the sketchbook process. Each student will be given a mixed media sketchbook to use for the duration of the class. Each artist will pick a theme from a provided list. Over (several Weeks) students will be taught different techniques to help them explore their chosen theme. Some things they will have the opportunity to explore are the use of watercolors, oil pastels, stamps, stencils, ink pads, collage, hand stitching on paper, ink and more.

Tippy Toes Dance (Spring) SK
Calling all Wiggleworms! Let’s boogie, let’s rock, let’s dance! Join Ms. Bing for an exciting class each week, where we will learn ballet, tap and creative movement. There will be an emphasis on exploring musicality, improvisational and choreographic storytelling and allowing our imaginations to run free! Our semester will culminate in a very special stage performance on Saturday, May 8, 2021, in the Elder Performing Arts Center.

Ballet & Beyond (Spring) 1st – 2nd
The kids have spoken! By popular demand, Ms. Bing will lead students through an exciting ballet program this spring that will culminate in a stage performance. We will learn the fundamentals of ballet, French terminology and create choreography. We will also explore creative movement, contemporary ballet and modern dance. (Both beginner and experienced students are welcome, as Bing has over 22 years of experience teaching multi-level classes.) Join us for a beautiful journey through this incredible art form! Our semester will culminate in a very special stage performance on Saturday, May 8, 2021, in the Elder Performing Arts Center.
