Supporting Our Community

I hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe!

I know many of our parent volunteers are out in our community today making deliveries to our faculty and staff in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week. I am continually appreciative and grateful for our school, our students and the Lausanne family.

Many of you recently received a letter from our Lausanne Parent Connections President, Theresa Heist. Over the past several weeks, the LPC Executive Board has received an overwhelming response from our parent community in asking how they can help support faculty, staff and families who are facing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to this response, the LPC, with my full support, has implemented the Lausanne Emergency Fund. This fund will provide limited financial assistance to faculty, staff and families when they are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses because of a temporary hardship related to an emergency situation, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Refunds and credits for food services, Aftercare and other Lausanne 360 activities are being issued to your accounts as we speak. As mentioned in previous emails from me, we have received requests from numerous parents wishing to donate their credits back to the school in order to support those in need through this new fund. If you would like to do so, please send an email to let us know by clicking here, or reply to this email and cc Charlotte Albertson, our Director of Development & Community Engagement, at calbertson@lausanneschool.com.

I am prouder than ever and never surprised at the ingenuity, heartwarming support and sincerity of our Lausanne community.
