How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in pursuing your child’s admission to Lausanne Collegiate School. The first step in our admission process begins with an online application ($75). You may begin your online application by clicking on the link below. We have also included the remaining steps by grade level to review before submitting your application, including admission forms and assessment and student visit details.

The deadline to submit your application for first-round consideration is December 31, after which time we follow a rolling admission process based on space available. We request that students applying for early childhood classes be of grade-level age by June 1 for admission consideration. All students entering PK3-Age 3, JK-Age 4, SK-Age 5 must be toilet-trained by the first day of school. Toilet-training is not required of PK2-Age 2 applicants.

Lausanne Collegiate School admits qualified students of any race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression and national ethnic origin. 

Financial assistance applications for first-round admission consideration are also due by December 31 and will only be considered with a completed admission application. You will find the financial aid application at lausanneschool.com/tuition-financial-aid. Financial assistance will be allotted to qualifying applicants in Grades 1 - 11, as monies remain available.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST

Access and submit the following forms on the admission portal or via email/fax to our offices.

2. Upload a copy of your student’s birth certificate, an up-to-date immunization records form (TN official state form required for enrollment) and a current student photograph to the admission portal. (ALL GRADES)

3. Provide copies of the results of any special testing, if applicable. (ALL GRADES)

  • Speech and/or Hearing Therapy
  • Psychological/Educational Assessments
  • Neurological Evaluations
  • Visual Examinations (other than routine)
  • Testing for a gifted program and learning difference
Early Childhood & Lower School: Assessment Visits

A classroom visit and grade-level assessment is a general requirement of the admission process.

PK2 (age 2 by June 1): Each PK2 applicant will have the opportunity to participate in a group play date or individual family visit with his or her parents.

PK3 (age 3 by June 1): KSEALS Assessment: $30; Each applicant will visit a classroom with peers and complete a brief assessment with one of our admission counselors. The visit should last about 1 hour.

JK-SK (ages 4 & 5 by June 1): KSEALS and Internal Assessment: $45; Each applicant will visit a classroom with peers and complete an assessment with one of our admission counselors. The visit should last about 1 hour 45 minutes (for JK applicants) or 2 hours (for SK applicants).

1st - 3rd Grade: CAS2 and Internal Assessment: $60; Each applicant will visit a classroom with peers and complete an assessment with one of our admission counselors. The visit should last about 2 hours (for 1st grade applicants) or 3 hours (for 2nd and 3rd grade applicants).

4th Grade: CAS2 and Internal Assessment: $75; Each applicant will visit a classroom with peers and complete an assessment with one of our admission counselors. The visit should last about 3 hours.

Middle & Upper School: Assessments

5th–11th Grade: Applicants entering the 5th–11th grades must take the Independent School Entrance Exam.

ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) hosted by ERB (Educational Records Bureau) is a trusted assessment tool that can be taken from the comfort of your own home.  Lausanne offers ongoing ISEE-At-Home testing dates year-round, and several on-campus options during the school year.   • Lausanne-Administered ISEE-At-Home; On-Campus Group-$150; registration code needed—Most popular option; contact Lausanne for your unique registration code and register online with ease
  • ERB-administered ISEE-At-Home-$200; no registration code needed—Good option for families who need a weekend test, or when Lausanne administered dates do not fit your schedule
  • ISEE-at-Home at a local Prometric test center-$200; no registration code needed—Only offered in some areas
  • ISEE-at-Home Individual Testing-$225; no registration code needed—Limited availability
