Putting the interests of others ahead of your own. As part of the Lausanne Way, students are taught that service to others is what sets us apart from those around us.
As seekers of knowledge, who understand the importance of intellectual, physical and emotional balance, Lausanne students work to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others.
As open-minded, global citizens, Lausanne students have a strong sense of fairness, justice and respect for other individuals, communities and the environment and strongly consider their impact on the world around them.
From projects that incorporate service learning, such as the first grade restaurant project that supports MIFA (Memphis Inter-Faith Association) to historical and ecological studies, such as the global endeavors project in the sixth grade or the green project in the second grade, or our non-profit and corporate internships in the tenth and twelfth grades, students gain an understanding of the impact they can have on the communities around them as well as how those actions may have a global outcome.
