Laura Trott joined the Lausanne Collegiate School staff in 2010 as the director of marketing & communications, working closely with the admission and advancement offices.
After several years of sharing Lausanne’s story through the website, school publications and media contributions, Laura transitioned to the admission office in 2013 as the Director of Admission, providing her the opportunity to play a more active role in sharing Lausanne with prospective families.
“Working at Lausanne has been a dream come true,” shares Laura. “Not a native Memphian, I was immediately impressed with the school when I first came across its website many years ago. It had the open-mindedness and academic program I had always sought as a student and what I wanted for my own children. Having attended a liberal arts college, I felt right at home on the Lausanne campus. It is now my great pleasure to witness the joy and excitement of our students as they experience each step of The Lausanne Way and to share those opportunities with prospective families.”
Before joining the Lausanne team, Laura served for over a decade as a communications and marketing specialist for non-profits in the Memphis area after graduating with a B.A. in political science from Rhodes College and the McIntire Business Institute at the University of Virginia.
Brennan Elston joined the Lausanne admission team in 2022. With a background in the creative arts and nonprofit world, combined with years of experience in children’s advocacy work, Brennan brings an inventive and enthusiastic spirit to Lausanne. Lausanne’s core values align perfectly with Brennan’s most deeply held beliefs—the value of a robust academic background, the importance of equity and diversity in our global world, and the need of a strong school community to enhance all aspects of student life. Brennan looks forward to working with our financial assistance families, as well as enhancing the admission team through campus tours, student visits, and the student ambassador program.
“As a student at Lausanne, then experiencing the application process to eventually become a Lausanne parent, and now as a member of the admission team, I have literally experienced Lausanne from all sides! I am hopeful that that perspective will be useful to new, current, and future families who believe in The Lausanne Way as much as I do.”
Brennan was raised in Memphis and attended Lausanne. After earning a B.A. at Vanderbilt University, she later gained an M.A. in Arts Administration and Public Policy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Family relocation has taken her from one end of the country to the other, providing a vast wealth of perspective and experiences that she brings to the table at Lausanne, but Brennan is so happy to be putting roots back in her hometown of Memphis.
Colby Hall joined the Lausanne community in 2013 after several years in the hospitality industry. After graduating from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a B.S. in hospitality management, Colby began her career as an event coordinator for Marriott International. Colby quickly advanced her career in the hospitality industry as both a social catering coordinator and sales executive. After moving to several different cities with Marriott and holding several different positions, she was ready to follow her dream of working with children.
Combining her hospitality background and her love of young people, Colby is a welcoming member of our admission team.
“I have always loved working with children as both a coach and a mentor. Using my hospitality skills to welcome children and families to Lausanne is the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
She enjoys opportunities to help children through their admission assessment visits and also serves as an advisor to several of our Upper School students.
Colby’s dedication to the Lausanne community and knowledge of the school’s administrative network supports the work of the headmaster as well as the mission of the school. She is a welcoming presence in the admission lobby and takes great joy in helping people connect with Lausanne’s headmaster, Stuart McCathie, and other members of the school’s administration.
Shannon Holder joined the Lausanne admission team in July 2017. Shannon’s delightful voice will likely first greet you or her cheerful email response you may receive after inquiring about Lausanne. With many years of excellence in the service industry, from time as a personal assistant to an office manager for a local ND’s office, Shannon joyfully welcomes each family she meets to Lausanne.
“I'm honored to be working alongside such precious families of young adults on their preparatory journey to adulthood and look forward to helping parents and prospective students feel confident in their choice today for a better tomorrow.”
From a mother’s standpoint, she was instantly drawn to what Lausanne has to offer today’s young generation. “Our children are not just our future. They are our today. And we are always told to make today count,” she says.
Jasmine joined the Lausanne admission team in 2022. We are thankful for Jasmine’s attention to detail and responsive nature in guiding families through the admission and enrollment process. Both her personal and professional collegiate experience is a perfect match for our community’s self-reflective nature and collegiate-prep campus.
Jasmine brings a wealth of knowledge, customer service, and good practice in welcoming new community members through her work in Human Resources at the University of Memphis. We love her warm smile and positive energy in every opportunity she approaches.
Jasmine says she experienced The Lausanne Way firsthand when she first visited us.
“I was welcomed instantly and felt a part of the Lynx Family from the time I arrived on campus until I left. It was a joy to be met by many smiling faces and not only to see but to also feel the love that everyone has for the school. Since starting my position, I am continuously meeting new and smiling faces. It is such a joy to be able to use my personal and professional experiences to provide similarly positive opportunities for families wanting to join the Lausanne community.”
