Why Are You Glad You Chose Lausanne?
I am glad I chose Lausanne because it has presented me with not only a challenging learning experience but also with multiple approaches to different concepts. This kind of flexibility is one of the reasons I''m glad I chose Lausanne.
What Is Your Favorite Lausanne Memory
My most notable memory at Lausanne happened in the 5th grade. I was in Mr. Stevens’ class on the first day, and he gave a pop quiz (which turned out not to be worth anything). Many of the questions were basic science questions, however after it was over, the answers were reviewed, and most everyone failed. The highest grade was a 70, due to the tricky nature of the questions. What I was taught from this moment is that science (and the rest of education) requires a deeper investigation than is presented on a surface level, and that you will never know as much as you may think. This inspired my current love for the sciences to learn more about the world.
What Campus Activities Are You Involved In?
At Lausanne, I am currently involved in the Big Lynx Little Lynx club (which allows high school students to help teach lower school classes). Last year, I was involved in the Debate Team, as well as the Science Olympiad.
What Hidden Talents Do You Have?
I have played the drum kit for many styles of music for 6 years, and I have received a second-degree black belt in Shotokan karate.
If You Could Only Use One Social Media Platform, Which One Would It Be? Why?
I would have to choose Instagram because I enjoy the power of pictures, which can say a lot about a person or place.
