29 straight wins. Over two years without a loss. History.  With the 49-7 victory over Harding Friday night, Lausanne set the record for most consecutive wins by a Shelby County high school football team with 29.  It was something head coach Kevin Locastro admitted was on his teams' mind and also something he is glad to have behind him. Lausanne Makes History As Soccer Wins Back To Back State Championships

As Lausanne's Varsity Soccer team headed to overtime with the score tied, they knew the state championship was on the line. That's when nerves set in, right?  Only Lausanne (19-1-0) had been in this situation before. Almost a year ago to the date, the Lynx defeated St. George's in the 109th minute of a double-overtime thriller to win their first soccer state championship.  But this year it was Battle Ground Academy (13-5-2), a school only about 40 miles away ... Lausanne Soccer Heads To State With Regional Championship

The title of "Regional Champions" evaded the Lynx varsity soccer team last season on their route to win the state championship. The Lynx were determined to make sure they weren’t denied again, but they’d have to beat a familiar foe to accomplish the task.  St. George's and Lausanne varsity soccer teams are very familiar with each other. As members of the same district, the teams played each other earlier this season at Lausanne, in a 4-2... Read More

It was a game worth waiting for, even if it meant waiting a little longer than expected.   There was a delay because of referee issues, which meant the 4 p.m. tip-off happened a little closer to 6 p.m. But once our defending state champion Lynx were able to hit the court, the waiting paid off.   The Goodpasture Cougars, out of Madison, Tenn., jumped out to an early double-digit lead behind the shooting of senior Tripp McEachern, who&nbs... Not since the playoffs two years before, in November of 2015, had the Lynx felt the sting of a loss. As they ran onto the field at Tucker Stadium to defend their state title, you could see in their eyes today would not be the day the streak would end. And it didn't. Not even close. On a 64 degree, sunny day in Co... Read More
