11 New Faces Join Lausanne Upper School

A number of fantastic new faculty join the Upper School this year. The experience this group brings to campus has enabled us to add enhanced curriculum offerings for the 2018-19 calendar year.

Olivia New – College Counseling
Olivia holds a Master’s in Education that focused on college success initiatives and brings a wealth of college counseling experience having most recently worked as an Admissions Counselor at the University of Memphis.

Christopher Sutton – History
Christopher holds a Ph.D. in History and is moving down from Boston where he had been an Associate/Adjunct Professor at several universities, while also teaching at the Winsor School.

Jenny Reeve – History
Married to Chris, Jenny holds a Ph.D. in History and is also moving down from Boston where she was teaching at the British International School of Boston, as well as being an Adjunct Professor at several universities.

Wade LinebaughEnglish
Wade holds a Ph.D. in English and is moving down from Connecticut where he was an English Teaching Fellow at Lehigh University.

Rashanda Williams – English
Rashanda holds a Masters of Fine Arts and Creative Writing and is moving up from the University of Alabama, where she was an English Instructor.

Nicolas David – World Languages
Nicholas is a French Native with over ten years of teaching experience. He is moving in from Nashville where he has been teaching at Belmont University.

Cristina Gomez – World Languages
Christina holds a Masters in Romance Languages and was most recently a Spanish Instructor at King University.

Josias Gomez – Math
Married to Christina, Josias comes to Lausanne having been the Coordinator of Academic Support at King University. He has a passion for Mathematics and has presented at conferences all around the country.

Aubrey Zimmerling – Math
Aubrey holds a Masters of Science in Instruction and Curriculum Design. She has been teaching Mathematics at Freedom Prep for the past three years.

Windy May – Math
Windy holds a Masters of Arts in teaching with a Mathematics concentration. She was most recently at P.D.S. but has also taught at Germantown High School.

Subash Gautam – Computer Science and Design
Subash grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. He holds a Bachelors in Computer Engineering and Mathematics and is moving down from the University of Bridgeport where he was a Mathematics tutor.

The Upper School is set up to fulfill our school's mission: “To prepare each of its students for college and for life in a global environment.” Research skills, critical thinking, and strong writing skills are embedded throughout the curriculum and students experience an Active Learning environment through their high school experience.
