Forging meaningful relationships and building character through service to others. It is not only two of the tenets of the Lausanne way, but it is also part of the DNA that makes up a Lausanne Lynx.
As we close out Summers @ Lausanne and prepare for the upcoming school year, a camp offering emphasizes those characteristics.
The Week of July 29-August 2, the Lynx In Action camp will give campers the opportunity to show the difference they can make in the Lausanne community.
"I am a difference-maker. it is a simple sentence that can lead to big changes in the world," Director of Summer Programs at Lausanne 360 Meg Cline said when talking about the importance of this camp.
A difference maker has an impact or effect; One who brings about change.
During the camp, students will spend a week learning about the difference-makers of our past, current difference-makers and how to be a future difference-maker in the world.
"This week is designed to be very interactive and engaging for the hands-on-learner. It features group discussions, group projects, and group problem solving as well as, individual projects, speeches and more," Cline said.
The camp runs from 9 a.m. until noon and has a registration fee of $135 that includes BeforeCare.
