The 93 students of the Class of 2020 at Lausanne were accepted to 161 different colleges, matriculating to 68 different schools in 26 states.
Although school was conducted in a virtual setting, Lausanne college advisors were still able to conduct individual meetings with each senior and their parents as the students were finalizing their decisions, weighing their options and dealing with an unusual end to their senior year. Counselors John Hawkins and Whitney Morrison were able to discuss the opportunities available and help every student find the best fit for their situation.
In total, the seniors also accumulated $13 million in scholarships.
“Whether in person or through a Microsoft Teams call, we are thrilled to continue our work helping students and their families during this exciting time in their high school experience,” Morrison said.
Schools such as Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Duke University, Howard University, John Hopkins University, Northwestern University, and Vanderbilt University are represented among others. In addition, 11 athletes committed to continue playing sports at the college level with three receiving scholarships to Division I schools.
This fall they'll be attending these colleges:
Congratulations, Class of 2020!
