Eleven Athletes Sign National Letters Of Intent On Signing Day

The Lausanne Athletic Department was pleased to recognize Lynx athletes that are taking their talents to the next level.

Eleven Lausanne athletes signed National Letters of Intent in five different sports to play at the collegiate level in a ceremony on Wednesday, February 5. 

The ceremony took place in the Elder Performing Arts Center (EPAC).

As part of National Signing Day, senior high school athletes sign their official letters of intent to the college or university of their choice. 

"I couldn't be more proud of these student-athletes. Their dedication and hard work have made them incredible athletes, teammates and students.  The work they put in on the field and in the classroom here at Lausanne in the toughest academic program a school can offer has prepared them for the next step they are about to take," said Lausanne athletic director Kevin Locastro. "We are all extremely proud and anticipate the greatness we will see over the next four years from them."

Listed below are the athletes in the class of 2020 that are signing, the school in which they will attend and the sport that will be played.

Football:

  • Tavin Davis-Morehead State
  • Carson Webb-Amherst College
  • Deris Jackson-Arkansas State
  • Caleb McCall-Arkansas State
  • Nick Floyd-Rhodes College

Lacrosse:

  • Charlie Nicholls-Emmanuel College

Baseball:

  • Parker Ashton-Freed-Hardeman
  • Clay Busby-Millsaps College
  • Whit Overstreet-Rhodes College

Track:

  • Autumn Whitmore-Rhodes College

Soccer:

  • Trey Armour-ETSU
