As Lausanne enters phase four of the Fall 2020 re-entry plan, after-school activities will resume following Labor Day and run on an eight-week schedule from Sept. 8 to Oct. 30.
Students in Senior Kindergarten through 8th grade will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities that include Sunshine Art Studio, Outdoor Dance, Outdoor Tennis, Outdoor Soccer and Virtual International Chess.
"Lausanne 360° wants to support all facets of our students’ education and these classes are great outlets for our students to continue to grow outside the classroom," said Director of Lausanne 360° and Middle School Sports Rachel Hammons.
To help maintain Lausanne's health and safety guidelines, students will be grouped by grade-level and all activities will be held outside. Students participating in Sunshine Art Studio will remain in their masks and have their own art supplies. For the physically active classes like Dance, Tennis and Soccer, students will be able to remove their masks when socially distanced.
Along with our on-campus activities, Virtual International Chess Academy classes are also being offered through Mid-South Chess for students to learn and play from home.
For Fall 2020, after-school activities will not be offered for Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten but aftercare will be available daily for all students in PK-8th grade.
Registration closes at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, but spots are filling up fast!
