Five Upper School Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Lausanne is honored to announce that five of our Lynx seniors have been named semifinalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.

We want to congratulate Walter Mink '22, Ryan Hof '22, Annabella Tian '22, Jason Nadiu '22 and Sophia Holland '22 for their hard work and dedication.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. Students enter the competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) during their junior year.

"Due to the international nature of a school like Lausanne, many of our students do not qualify for this recognition, as only U.S. nationals qualify," Head of Upper School Stuart Dunster said. "We are therefore delighted and proud to see five students achieve this prestigious award. We look forward to working with these students and helping them to progress to become National Merit finalists."

The semifinalist list will be sent to U.S. colleges and universities and could potentially enhance the educational opportunities for our academically talented students. The five Lausanne seniors will also have the chance to move forward in the competition announced next spring.

Congratulations, Lynx!
