Isabel Kagoo '21 Named Semifinalist For The 2021 Class Of The Coca-Cola Scholars Program

Lausanne student Isabel Kagoo '21 has been named a Semifinalist for the 2021 class of the Coca-Cola Scholars Program, moving to the next round of the selection process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 college scholarship.

"I am so grateful to be named as a semi-finalist for the Coca-Cola Scholars Program and to be moving on in the selection process," said Isabel. "It is an honor to be recognized out of over a hundred thousand applicants as a leader in my community and an overall well-rounded student, by the selection committee. This would not be possible if not for all of my supportive teachers, throughout the years, who have encouraged and inspired me to pursue extracurricular activities outside the classroom and turn my passions into action."

Semifinalists are asked to complete Phase 2 applications, which include essays, a recommendation and transcripts. An independent selection committee will review the applications and select 250 Regional Finalists by the end of January to participate in online interviews. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars will be named in March to receive a $20,000 college scholarship and participate in the Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Development Institute facilitated by program alumni.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the most extensive corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. In addition to receiving college scholarships, students selected as Coca-Cola Scholars are welcomed into an alumni network that works to change the world positively.

"I am excited to continue on in the selection process and I am so appreciative of the continual support that Lausanne Community has shown me," said Isabel.

Congratulations, Isabel!
