As we enter the third week of Summers @ Lausanne, we want to highlight some of the amazing camps that you can still register for. Two of those come up next week in Hip Hop Dance Jams and The Wonderful World of Writing.
Are you in your feelings like Drake? Do you wake up in the morning and dab? Come walk it out with Memphis hip hop dance legend Charnae "Nae" Nelson.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced hip hop dancer, the high energy camp will help strengthen your skills and develop your own movement style.
During the camp, you will work on all of your favorite viral dance crazes and also learn some of Nae's original choreography.
For this camp, you are going to want to dress in dancewear or athletic clothing daily.
The camp runs June 17-21 from 9 a.m. until noon and is for rising fifth through eighth graders.
The registration fee is $135 and includes before care.
If dancing is not your thing, that week you can also take part in The Wonderful World of Writing camp.
Geared towards rising third and fourth graders, this camp is perfect for those with creative ideas that love to write.
Mrs. Longfellow will help develop students writing ability by working on pre-writing strategies, learning to write for entertainment purposes and collaborating with peers.
Students will learn to recognize good writing in their favorite literature as a way to improve their own craft. Independent writing time is included as students put all these skills to work creating their own masterpiece.
This class runs from 9 a.m. to noon and the registration fee of $135 also includes before care.
