At Lausanne, we believe the best educational environment makes learning challenging, engaging and meaningful for students. A part of that environment is SEL and a student's ability to understand and manage their emotions.

The five main areas focused on through SEL are self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making. The topics teach students everything from understanding their strengths and limitations to helping them develop the ability to make positive choices.

During the 2020-2021 school year, Lausanne Learning released videos with tips, resources and ideas for SEL and mindfulness for students, teachers and parents. Topics included teaching SEL to students, teacher/staff self-care and SEL tips for parents.

All Lausanne SEL Speaker Series Events are free and open to all members of the public and our community and registration is currently open for the 2021-22 Speaker Series.
