Students from Mrs. Floyd's class have been eagerly preparing to showcase their artistic talents through the Middle School Art Show.
The art gallery will offer paintings inspired by famous artwork and sculptures depicting different insects and amphibians.
"Students in sixth grade were to select a famous artwork past or present and incorporate the Blue Dog within the original painting," Middle School art teacher Geri Floyd said. "Fifth and eighth-graders selected an insect, frog, or turtle and created original clay sculptures. Students then made clay frames and placed their sculptures in it to give it a crawling-out-of-the-frame effect."
The Lausanne community will have the opportunity to see their art pieces on display during the Middle School Art Show in Blackmon Gallery from November 20 to January 20.
