The Lausanne Lynx improved to 6-0 Friday night, defeating Evangelical Christian School (ECS) 21-7.
After a scoreless first quarter, Lausanne got on the scoreboard first late in the second quarter with a rushing touchdown from Craig Cunningham ’22 to go into halftime with a 7-0 lead.
Having won the kickoff and deferring to the second half, the Lynx got the ball first to start the second half. ECS attempted a pooch kick, but the ball wound up in the hands of Ben Bolton ’22, who ran it back for a touchdown to extend the Lausanne lead to 14 points.
ECS would find the end zone in the fourth quarter, but the Lynx had a quick answer as Cunningham rushed for his second touchdown of the night and fourteenth of the season to put Lausanne up 21-7.
Lausanne now enjoys a bye week before hitting the road for games against St. George’s and South Gibson.
