Lausanne Gymnastics Open Their Season Strong

November has been an amazing month for Lausanne gymnastics. 

The team kicked off their season November 3 in Hernando, Mississippi at the Xtreme Invitational. 

The following gymnasts placed in the top three in their respective divisions:

  • Reese Davis '26: 2nd place on beam
  • Tahlia Hamze '27: 1st place on beam
  • Zara Myers '30: 1st place on floor, vault, bars, beam, and all-around.

Zara’s scores broke the Lausanne Gymnastics Team all-time individual records for all divisions with her scores on floor, bars, beam and all-around. Morgan McBride '28 had a strong showing as well, achieving new personal bests in three events. Morgan, Tahlia, and Zara also took home third place for best team for their division. 

On November 10, the team continued their winning ways as they competed in the Shelly Allen Invitational in Collierville, Tennessee. The team took home the first place win for the best team with their highest team score ever. The following gymnasts placed in the top three in their respective divisions:

  • Hannah Moore '23: 1st place on floor,  2nd place on vault,  1st place on bars, 1st place on beam, 1st place all-around
  • Lily Hirsch '24: 2nd place on floor, 1st place on vault, 2nd place on bars, 2nd place on beam, 2nd place all-around
  • Ada Dukes '25: 2nd place on floor, 2nd place on vault, 1st place on bars, 1st place on beam, 2nd place all-around
  • Emily Bomar '26: 3rd place on floor, 3rd place on vault, 3rd place on bars, 3rd place on beam, and 3rd place all-around
  • Reese Davis '26: 1st place on floor, 1st place on vault, 2nd place on bars, 2nd place on beam, 1st place all around
  • Leila Murley '26: 2nd place on vault, 2nd place on bars, 1st place on beam, 3rd place all-around
  • Tahlia Hamze '27: 3rd place on floor, 1st place on vault, 3rd place on bars, 3rd place on beam, 2nd place all-around
  • Melinda Geller '29: 2nd place on floor
  • Jiya Shah '29: 3rd place on floor, 1st place on bars, 3rd place on beam, 2nd place all-around
  • Zara Myers '30: 1st place on floor, 1st place on vault, 1st place on bars, 1st place on beam, 1st place all-around

Zara had the highest scores on beam and all-around for all divisions for the entire meet. Morgan gave another strong performance by getting two new personal best scores for vault and bars.

Congrats to the Lynx gymnasts as well as Head Coach Patty Moore and Coaches Joyce Quintrell and Courtney Benoit. The team's next meet is on December 1 at the Ho! Ho! Invitational at Shining Star Gymnastics in Corinth, Mississippi.
