Lausanne Soccer Picks Up Honors As They Head Into State Tournament Play

The Lausanne varsity soccer team ended their post season tournament play Tuesday evening at home against Battle Ground Academy (BGA) in the first round of the state tournament, falling 6-0.

The loss closed a Lausanne Lady Lynx season that garnered the team a lot of recognition.

Taylor Rhodes '21, Jordan Timmons '21 and Analise Murphy '22 were all honored by being added to the West District Team.

Rhodes and Simi Faleye '22 were also selected to the Regional Tournament Team.

Finally, head coach Amy Morrison was awarded Coach Of The Year.

Morrison said she appreciates the honor but is even more excited about what the team has accomplished on the field this season.

"I love how this team has come together this year. There has been adversity but it only brought us together as a team and as a family," Morrison said. "The amount of growth this team has shown this year is amazing."
