Lausanne Staff and Faculty Spend Day Giving Back To Community

Lausanne teachers and staff spent their in-service day on Friday spread out across Memphis as part of their annual TeacherServe Day.

You could find members of the Lausanne family fanned out across Shelby County, volunteering at non-profits around the city.

Staff and faculty were at the following locations:

  • Dorothy Day House
Transitioned items out of the storage units and into the transitional homes for the facility.
  • Mid-South Food Bank
    Sorted food in their warehouse.
  • Catholic Charities of Memphis
    Worked the community cook-out.
  • MIFA
    Delivered Meals on Wheels
  • Down Syndrome Association of the Mid-South
Crafts, organizing files, creating new packets, phone calls, etc.
  • Paige Robbins Adult Day Care
Music volunteering, art volunteering, small maintenance work and back porch cleaning.
  • Habitat for Humanity ReStore
Worked with their ReStore product stock.
  • Promise Academy
Worked with their classroom teachers as aides.

Lausanne also held a Girls Galentine’s Day Lock-In for members of the class of 2021. You can read more about that here

Thanks to all of our staff and teachers for an amazing day and to the organizations in our community that allowed us to serve Friday!
