Thirty-eight in a row.
The Lausanne Lynx extended their record-breaking winning streak on Friday night at Lausanne with a 35-14 victory over Evangelical Christian School (ECS).
With the win, the Lynx(11-0) advance to the DII-AA semifinals and a matchup with Nashville's Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA).
Lausanne jumped out to a 20-0 lead behind two touchdowns from Eric Gray '19 and a quarterback sneak from Sky Forrest '19.
Gray finished the game with 36 carries for 246 yards and two touchdowns.
Scoring once before the half and another in the third quarter, the Eagles cut the Lausanne lead to 20-14.
A blocked punt from Erek Campbell and an interception return for a touchdown from Jaylon Johnson would put the game away.
"They came in prepared and executed their game plan. Our kids faced adversity and found a way to get it done and I am awful proud of them," head coach Kevin Locastro said.
While happy to win the game and advance, the Lynx know the focus now shifts to a tough CPA(12-0) team.
"CPA has a really good football team. We are expecting a tough matchup. When you get this far in the playoffs you are going to play good football teams," head coach Kevin Locastro said.
Lausanne and CPA will face each other next Friday at CPA in Nashville at 7 p.m.
