Earlier this month, Lausanne band students took part in the All-West Tennessee Honor Band auditions at Arlington High School.
Each year, the West Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association (W.T.S.B.O.A.) puts on a large convention to share things that are happening with music education in West Tennessee. Students are invited to participate in blind auditions where they are judged, the most successful players selected to participate in honor bands.
West Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association (WTSBOA) has been promoting school music since 1939. The organization has continually sponsored numerous events such as Marching Festival, Concert Festival, All-West Clinic Groups, and Solo and Ensemble Festivals. WTSBOA is an affiliate of the Tennessee Music Educators Association (TMEA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
