Over the weekend, members of the Math Club competed in the Collierville Math Bowl.
The tournament was composed of two parts. A round robin competition, where each competitor plays in turn against every other competitor, followed by a bracket round. Each match was 10 minutes long, with teams buzzing in to answer rapid-fire math questions.
"The math club practices bi-weekly, preparing for a variety of math competitions," math teacher and department chair Janet Slesinski said.
10 Lynx competed in three teams. Saad Khan '20, Jacqueline Lee '20 and Sultan Shah '20 made it the furthest, battling through five rounds of tournament play before being eliminated.
Overall, there were 20 teams from eight different schools present.
