Lausanne Middle School students filed into the Elder Performing Arts Center (EPAC) on Wednesday for a chance to pick out their clubs for the year.
“We believe joining a club is a great way to explore new interests,” Assistant Head of Middle School Robin Trusty said. “It allows students to learn something new without the stress that often comes with school courses. Clubs connect students with like-minded people and allow you to become part of a community.”
Among the clubs offered this year are clubs like ASL, Debate, Model UN, Newspaper, Magic and Yoga.
Students were given a sheet of paper and ranked their interest in the club while hearing a short “commercial” provided by the club sponsor. They then went online and filled out a form where they ranked their top five club choices.
Students will find out what clubs they are assigned to next Wednesday.
