Lynx Middle School students are using their house activity to connect the 16 grade levels across the Lausanne campus.
“For our House Activity this week the 7th and 8th graders created posters for the other grade levels around campus,” sixth-grade Individuals and Societies teacher and
House System Director Kyle Lawrence said. “They worked on creating a poster that includes Social Emotional Learning, a positive note, a drawn picture and their House.”
The goal of the project is to connect the 16 grade levels on campus with the four Middle School houses.
“We want the Lower School to look forward to the fact that they will join a House in Middle School and to connect to the Upper Schoolers who at one time were in a House,” Lawrence said. “We also want everybody on campus to feel welcomed and to have a reminder of that for each grade level.”
The activity also showcases Lausanne Learner Profile traits, which include being caring and principled.
