Middle School Students Compete In National History Bee

Middle schoolers Sachin Lyons '26 and Hugh Parker '25 had the opportunity to demonstrate their historical knowledge while representing Lausanne recently when they competed virtually in the Regional Final for the History Bee.

The contest, hosted by the International Academic Competitions, tested the students' knowledge of USA and world history. Both Sachin and Hugh exceeded the challenge, qualifying them for the National Championship, which is being held online until December 20.

"This is an excellent opportunity for students who love history to showcase their knowledge in a fast-paced competition, and both students did a great job," said Middle School Social Studies teacher Catherine Hammons.

In January, middle schoolers will begin preparing for the 2021 History Bee Competition. Students interested in competing are encouraged to contact Ms. Hammons.

Congrats to Sachin Lyons and Hugh Parker for qualifying for the National Championship!
