Middle Schoolers Express Their Creativity Through Poetry Slam

During common time on Tuesday, brave middle schoolers took the stage in EPAC to read their own poetry to a crowd of students, family and faculty.

The poetry performances were a part of the Middle School Poetry Slam and included participants from 5th and 7th grade.

One by one students were welcomed to the stage by seventh grade English teacher Hilary Simpson, and their readings were followed by snaps of applause from the crowd.

“They have worked incredibly hard and were looking forward to performing,” said Ms. Simpson.

Lausanne students are always encouraged to express their creativity and the poetry slam was the perfect opportunity for students to convey it through their written work.
