Musically Talented Upper School Students Hosts Concert Series For Alzheimer Patients

With Annabella Tian '22 leading the initiative, a group of Lausanne's Upper School students will use their musical talents to serve others.

The group, who call themselves Creativiteens, will host a virtual concert series for Alzheimer patients throughout March, April and May. The volunteer efforts assist in helping those with Alzheimer's engage with the music while providing visual and performance artists with an opportunity to get involved and share their skills with the community.

"I  have been working on a virtual concert series with Greta Brown, the West TN Programs Director from the Alzheimer's Association," said Annabella Tian '21. "The virtual concert includes musical performances from Lausanne students for people with Alzheimer's as well as their caregivers. This allows those with Alzheimer's to engage with the music through follow-up questions and will enable caregivers to take a break."

The group welcomes all to join their virtual tour, especially elderly individuals who may want to hear. The first concert will occur this Saturday, March 20th, at 11:00 am.

This week's performance features Sophia Holland '22 on the piano and Ayaka Kimura and Yuka Kimura on the violin.
