Scholastic Book Fair Is Back At Lausanne

Calling all reading lovers!

Stop by EPAC this week for the annual Scholastic Book Fair, offering a wide selection of books, posters, school supplies and more.

Students can make in-store purchases, pre-order unreleased books and create a booklist to reference if they want to come back at a different time during the week.

The book fair also gives students the opportunity to share their love for reading with classmates by purchasing a book from their teacher’s classroom wish-list. The event not only benefits the reading skills of the students, but the funds raised also help benefit Lausanne’s library.

To help students shop independently, families can now use Scholastic’s new e-wallet system. With this system, parents can create an account and deposit money for students to use while they shop.

Lausanne parents are welcome to join the exciting atmosphere by volunteering to help work the Scholastic event or stopping in to browse this year’s selection.

“The best part about the book fair is watching the students get excited over purchasing a new book to read,” said Lausanne parent and longtime Scholastic Book Fair volunteer Mary Randolph-Frye.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Elder Performing Arts Center and Blackmon Gallery from Monday, Oct. 21 to Saturday, Oct 26.
