Lausanne Lower School students and family members gathered in the Elder Performing Arts Center (EPAC) to watch the Class of 2029 take the stage as they hosted the second grade assembly.
The second-graders entertained the audience by presenting their diverse talents ranging from magic tricks to gymnastics moves to piano performances.
The assembly was a part of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) unit, How We Express Ourselves, that students have been learning in their classrooms. The unit focuses on exploring different ways we discover our nature, ideas, feelings, beliefs and values through language and art.
Students at Lausanne are always encouraged to embrace who they are, and through this unit, teachers are able to create a joyful learning environment while teaching students to become inquirers who are curious about themselves and the world around them.
