Lausanne second-graders had the opportunity to take what they are learning in the classroom outdoors during an afternoon spent at Blue Heron Lake.
Students rotated between canoeing with Mrs. Fessler and Mrs. Mcbride, making and enjoying healthy treats with Ms. Robertson, examining worms with Mr. Frassinelli and shooting rockets with Mr. Massey.
Their outdoor activities initiated the start of their first Primary Years Programme (PYP) unit of inquiry for the year, Choices, in which students learn how the choices they make impact each other, different resources and the environment.
We love it when teachers create a joyful and challenging learning process for our Lynx!
