From shining on the EPAC stage to being one of the most friendly faces you'll see in the Upper School hallways, Lausanne senior Cailin Brown '21 is known for her lively presence and contagious smile.
As a proud Lausanne Lynx since Senior Kindergarten, Cailin has always been an active member of the Class of 2021.

"I spend more time at Lausanne than I spend time at my own house, but I love it," said the senior.
With the immense amount of extracurricular and academic endeavors Cailin has participated in, this statement holds true. The senior serves as the Thespian Troupe's Co-President, NHS secretary, an officer for Lausanne ambassadors and has held previous SGA positions.
Cailin is also a council member of the new Diversity and Inclusion Task Force and chair of the dress code committee for the task force, both of which she aids in enacting change.
"If we ever have a problem, the school listens because it is them who taught us to speak up for what we believe in," said Cailin.
The senior's driven mindset is carried outside the Lausanne gates, too, as she is an active member of the Memphis chapter of Jack and Jill of America Incorporated and served as the Regional Treasurer last school year.
Cailin's passion for making a difference took her across international borders last spring when she went to Belize with a group of Upperclassmen to complete the CAS project portion of the IB program.

"Upon our arrival at the school, we quickly established a strong bond with the students, who were eager to welcome us to their community and to learn about what schools in America we're like," said Cailin. "They were curious, caring, sweet, and polite hosts, and my classmates and I learned as much from them as they did from us."
On top of amassing a wide array of extracurricular, leadership positions and volunteering within the community, Cailin is an International Baccalaureate Full Diploma Candidate.
"The IB taught me time management, organization skills and how to balance my work and social life," said Cailin. "The program allows you to take classes that you are actually interested in. For example, one of the higher-level classes that I am taking is Theatre. I am involved heavily with the theatre department, so to be able to take it as one of my classes for IB is amazing."

Cailin hopes to study finance in college while continuing her love for theater as a minor. She has been accepted to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Spelman College, and Tulane University and is waiting to hear back from the University of Miami before deciding.
Wherever this Lynx may go, we know Cailin will use her radiant positivity to make any college campus a better place.
