With the help of Lausanne, Isaac Weiss ‘19 found his passion and created a path to prepare himself for the future.
“When I began my senior year I did not know exactly what I wanted to do in college,” said Isaac. “But when I completed my senior internship with the Memphis Grizzlies marketing and communications departments, I knew I had found what I wanted to study and hopefully do one day.”
This fall Isaac will be attending the University of Texas with a major in public relations. To prepare for his major, Isaac reached out about working with the Lausanne communications department.
“This final trimester I wanted to replace one of my electives with something to improve my field of study,” said Isaac. “Throughout this final term I’ve written the senior profiles each week for the website. Thanks to this opportunity my writing skills have improved and I’m more prepared for college.”
Along with these opportunities, Isaac’s CAS project helped give back to a well known part of his community, one of the top children’s research hospitals in the country, St. Jude.
“When I heard about the opportunity to raise money and awareness for St. Jude, I knew it was something I wanted to do,” said Isaac. “People were able to donate any amount for each point that I scored or touchdown that Eric (Gray) scored for our senior seasons and the support from the community was amazing.”
Outside of school, Isaac is a member of the varsity football, varsity soccer and varsity bowling along with being a member of the DECA club.
While his final days as a Lausanne student soon come and go, the memories that Isaac has made at Lausanne will stick with him forever. He knows that he is more prepared for his future because of his time here and is grateful for all of the support Lausanne has given him.
