With Lausanne athletics already preparing for next season, awards continue to roll in for our spring sports athletes from the success of last season, with soccer, tennis and track student-athletes receiving city and state recognition.
Three Lynx soccer players were named to the Daily Memphis All-Metro team: Max Gilbert ’23, Jad Hamze ’21 and Luca Iannaccone ’22.
“I’m so proud of these student-athletes for a great season and their hard work, commitment level and effort,” Lima said.
Gilbert was also named a finalist for player of the year by the Daily Memphian in addition to being named to the THSSCA All-State team.
With two of the three players returning to the field for Lausanne next year, head coach Rogerio Lima said the expectations are high.
On the track, head coach Chris Jordan and the track and field team are celebrating four student-athletes receiving honors.
“I’m extremely proud of our kids,” Jordan said. “They put a lot of energy and effort into being great students and athletes. Being named to the all-metro team is an amazing accomplishment and a testament to their work ethic and our culture.”
Named to the Division 2 All-Metro team were: Ethan Dabbs ’21, Jordan Pendleton ’22, Lucy Fisher ’23 and Rachel Lambert ’21.
In addition to soccer and track and field, Lynx tennis also had three players recognized.
Dany Hamze ’23, Nate Wittke ’25 and Kai Wince ’22 were named to the All-Metro team.
“I am so proud of these players and the work they put in this season,” head coach Joel Bailey said. “We are looking forward to focusing on what is ahead and putting in the work to take the next step.”
Congratulations to all the athletes recognized. We are proud of you!
