A group of parents read over the colorful presentation displayed in front of them as students discussed the ways to stop food waste.
As a part of the fourth grade exhibition, Lausanne families and Lower School students had the opportunity to walk around to different exhibits in EPAC to listen as the Class of 2027 discussed earth’s resources and how our actions can impact other living things for their Primary Years Programme (PYP) unit Sharing the Planet.
In the final year of the PYP, our fourth-graders start working on a culminating project that showcases all of the skills, attitudes and learner profile traits that students have developed during their time in Lower School.
The fourth grade students formed groups and worked collaboratively with fellow students, teachers and mentors to perform an in-depth inquiry into their topic before completing their culminating projects they displayed in EPAC.
The exhibition allowed students to practice their communication skills, showcase what they have learned and to boost their confidence as they make the transition to the Middle Years Programme in fifth grade.
After students presented their work, everyone headed into the theatre for an award ceremony, in which the fourth-graders received recognition for their accomplishments this year.
It was a wonderful day and a great way to end the school year!
