Lausanne held the third annual "Lausanne Middle School Louie Awards" on Wednesday in the Elder Performing Arts Center (EPAC).
Each year, the seventh graders create silent films as a class project to explore story structure, characterization, and theme. Those who choose to can enter their films into the Seventh Grade Silent Film Festival. The films are judged by a panel of three faculty members, and winners are awarded for Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Picture.
During the "Louie Awards" the winners are presented with trophies and the three winning films are played for the middle school.
