Third-graders Host Virtual Talent Show

Lausanne's third-graders had the opportunity to celebrate each other's unique and creative skills during a recent Zoom call featuring the entire Class of 2029.

"The virtual talent show was a fun way to connect the students as they kicked-off their IB Primary Years Programme unit on self-expression," Third-grade teacher Mrs. Fonseca said. "Each student shared their unique talent and passion for the Arts. Third-Graders are Virtual Rock Stars!"

The students showcased a variety of impressive performances including a beautiful rendition of "This Girl is on Fire," a student proving his ability to complete a Rubix cube in less than a minute, a hip-hop dance routine and many others.

"The virtual talent show seemed to make it easier for the students to take a risk they might not normally take in person," third-grade teacher Mrs. Longfellow said. "The audience was so receptive and congratulatory of each performance! It was so special to see them lifting each other up…even from a distance!"

"It was so exciting to see the students perform," Third-grade teacher Ms. Hadskey said. "There were several students that had talents I didn’t even know about and it was a great way to showcase them."
