Lausanne would like to congratulate seniors Martin Succar '21 and John Henry Campbell '21 for earning the Hispanic Scholar award from The College Board National Recognition Programs.
The educational program creates an avenue to college for students from underrepresented communities by granting them academic honors and connecting them with universities across the country.
"When students gain accomplishments, we will always be the first in line to celebrate their achievements," said Director of College Advisement John Hawkins. "The work that they do every day is not easy. John Henry and Martin are both amazing students. I can wait to see where their journey will take them."
Colleges use these honors to identify African American, Hispanic American or Latinx and indigenous students who have excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT and in their classrooms.
"This award not only recognizes their success in the PSAT exam but also highlights the hard work they have put in throughout high school to maintain a qualifying GPA," said Head of Upper School Stuart Dunster. "We are incredibly proud of John Henry and Martin for achieving this honor."
