Night Of Broadway Virtual Auditions

Lausanne students are preparing to take to the stage in the annual Night of Broadway performance hosted and directed by the Upper School thespians.

The show, held in the Elder Performing Arts Center (EPAC), features songs from Broadway musical favorites.

Night of Broadway, which is in its 13 year at Lausanne, has become one of the favorite events of the year for students. The evening was originally started by a student to raise money for her grade. It was then passed on to the Thespian Society.

What is it?
Night of Broadway is a Broadway themed talent show for all divisions at Lausanne.

Who can audition?
We are inviting all of our Lausanne families, students and staff to participate. To maintain COVID safety guidelines, we will limit the participants of singing group performances to those that share the same home. Solo singing acts are welcome, group dances can be done if the performers are masked and stay 6 feet apart at all times. Instrumentals such as strings, percussion or piano will also be permitted.

How do I audition?
Prepare a song from a Broadway show - you can sing, dance, act, play and instrument or do it all ! Costumes are a plus. Please do not sing over a vocal track. We want to hear you!

Send a video of your performance to Ashley Bugg Brown at by the deadline: SEPTEMBER 20th

Be sure to include the name and age/grade level of each of the performers, the song and scene title and the show which it is from. Also- include your contact information.

What happens next?
Our directors (upper school thespians) will pick a few acts from each division to be included in our virtual Night of Broadway.

Final recording
If your act is chosen, we will ask that you schedule an appointment (on a Saturday to be determined). On this day, Selected performers will come to EPAC and record your final performance on stage with our equipment.

COVID Restrictions
To comply with Lausanne’s COVID safety plan, we ask that singing group acts only include members of your own household. We cannot allow group acts from mixed households that include singing. Singing solos will be fine. Dance duets or small groups are great, but you must wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart at all times if you are dancing with someone not in your household. Piano, string, and percussion instruments will also be permitted. We encourage you to make this a family event!! Have fun with it!! This is very different from years past but we still want to celebrate all the Lausanne talent!!
