  • World Book Kids
    World Book Kids is a general reference website developed especially for young students. The site offers image-based navigation, easy‐to‐read articles, thousands of illustrations, and a wealth of engaging games, science projects, and activities.
  • World Book Early World of Learning
    Features narrated stories, "print & do" exercises, videos, interactive games, and a visual online encyclopedia to help make learning fun and engaging for preschoolers and children in the early elementary grades.   
  • Primary Search
    Designed specifically for elementary school students, this database provides full-text for popular children's magazines covering a variety of topics.
  • Kids InfoBits
    Covers a broad range of elementary school topics in one accessible resource. It features a modern, graphical interface that improves navigation understanding to offer students an introduction to database searching that is in step with their skill.

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library
    Contains electronic reference books presented by discipline. Information spans the curriculum with virtual books in History, Literature, Science and other subjects. Included in this collection are many multi-volume sets.
  • Britannica Online School Ed
    Search encyclopedia articles (Britannica, Compton’s, Britannica Elementary), journals, magazines, websites, atlas, timelines, videos, interactive “Learning Zone” for PreK-2. See a librarian for off campus password.
  • World Book Encyclopedia
    Includes a number of levels and types of encyclopedias. Content in addition to the encyclopedia articles includes related websites and magazine articles, ebooks, primary sources, multimedia and more. The library advises World Book Student for Middle School research and World Book Advanced for Upper School students.

    Databases by subject link to hundreds of millions of articles in Gale Virtual Reference Library, Academic OneFile, Kids InfoBits, Literature Resource Center, Health and Wellness Resource Center, Learning Express Library, and many more.
  • Academic Search Complete 
    Offers an enormous collection of the most relevant full-text journals, providing users access to critical information from many sources unique to this database. The database includes 9,000 full-test journals spanning a wide range of disciplines in the sciences, humanities and the arts. The resource contains current content as well as some selected content dating as back into the 19th century.
  • Salem Press’ 
    Reference materials are written in clear and succinct language that is accessible to high school and undergraduate level students. Individual essays are robust enough to be thorough but not overwhelming. Included in the Salem resources are databases in history, literature and health.     Databases by subject link to hundreds of millions of articles in Gale Virtual Reference Library, Academic OneFile, Kids InfoBits, Literature Resource Center, Health and Wellness Resource Center, Learning Express Library, and many more.
    - Gale Virtual Reference Library
    Gale OneFile: High School Edition provides access to cross-curricular content aligned to national and state curriculum standards. Students can access news content including full-text newspapers and periodicals. Audience: Middle School, High School

    Includes scholarship published in over one thousand of the highest-quality academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. This database provides high school students exposure to peer-reviewed scholarly research. Access is seamless from campus. Students need to create an account using MyJSTOR in order to access the database from off-campus.

    Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.
